Anyone can say any words, and obviously if you like them even if they turned out to be premature and incorrect you will repost them, but to tell us that history is incorrect in an attempt to justify your support for the ultra wealthy? Wow- way off the grid there my man.

| RichardCranium | Posted: 8/20/2010 10:30:00 AM - View this Thread Yep. Quite simply, none of us can ever spend the kind of money it takes to buy politicians the way corporations can and have since.... well, since air. Yes, I know- some of us are in unions or other organizations that raise money through voluntary "PAC" donations, but even then we are paled by the likes of Pfuxus, Golden Sack and Skank Of America. In addition, when we do raise money, we are denounced publicly by the likes of Faux News as being "special interest groups" that politicians will be forced to bow to if we are allowed to continue. But Barb will continue to defend those poor unfortunates who are burdoned with owning companies that earn them billions of dollars each year- because in his deluded eyes, they are the ones who are really suffering in this country. Internet privacy. Huh. Way to keep your eye off the ball.

Sorry for the month late reply (I''ve been busy...). Hey, they learned from the best. A funny Nazi story (you probably don''t hear that phrase often) a group of us who were well enough to travel went to Natzweiler (a former concentration camp) while rehabilitating at LRMC during Gulf War numero uno. This airman who had been getting on everyone''s last nerve since being well enough to go to the common area with all his whiney bullshit started crying about the holocaust as though he had been there. This fucker didn''t want for anything- life had been good to him so far, so we tried to seperate ourselves from him. He kept following and trying to guilt us (into what I don''t know) and finally I snapped and said, "Yeah, well you''re not the only one around here who lost someone in a concentration camp!" Suddenly he was all buddy buddy with me and asked who I lost. I said, "My grandfather died in this very camp!" Which was ironic since it wasn''t one of the "death camps", but he bought it and said he was sorry to hear that and asked if I knew any details. I replied, "Yeah- he got drunk on Schnapps and fell out of that guard tower one night!" He left us alone for the rest of the day.

Quote: "Of all the things I''''ve lost; I miss my mind the most."- Ozzy Osborne
Actually, Ozzy stole that from Mark Twain. It reminds me of when I was in college and the professor asked who said "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." and this idiot bitch behind me said "Living Colour". The sad thing is half the class nodded and said "Oh yeah" while the rest of us looked at her like the dolt that she was. I''m sure wherever she works now she has to have a name tag, that she has undoubtably decorated with stickers from Twilight.

| RichardCranium | Posted: 2/15/2010 4:56:00 AM - View this Thread |
It''s funny that you bring this up. I was having a debate at work this morning with a rather pig headed right winger. I wondered how anyone who actually has to work for a living could support a party who''s only interest is driving the working class further down the ladder in their own quest for power. He said it was all about abortion. I kindly pointed out that if that is the only thing making him vote republican, then he has been continually duped, and will probably continue to be. Seeing as the GOP had control of the House, Senate and Presidency from January 2001 through January 2007, ANY anti-abortion bill could have been introduced, passed by both houses of Congress, and on the President''s desk for a signature within six months. ZERO bills were ever drafted. I laughed at him for allowing himself to be played, this made him upset and he went to go yell at a wall or something. Anyway, it got me to thinking- as much as it goes against my actual beliefs, I kind of wish they would outlaw abortion. Then, when these blue collar republicans wake up the next morning and see that their hotbutton issue is no longer an issue- they might begin to see that the party their church has been ordering them to support is comprised largely of people who act the least Christ-like.

| RichardCranium | Posted: 12/9/2009 3:07:00 PM - View this Thread Oh no Coop! You have to make sure you read every word because he is a master of twisting them. Since he won''t admit that no corporation is as large as any government (thus no corproation could raise an army to kill millions) he will also never cop to the fact that corporations have raised "armies" (or security teams) to kill workers. It happened here during the labor movement of the 1930''s/40''s and continues to happen around the world. As for the assertion that private business never "forced anyone to do business with them for that matter" bullshit- I am sure the Gambino family didn''t say or do anything when their "customers" decided to go with a different waste management/construction/liquor distributor/etc., they just agreed to disagree and walked away, right?
