Preface: I actually don't advocate killing anyone. I'm very anti-death penalty, etc. I am pro-choice though. I don't equate that to killing. "Crushing acorns is not deforestation." -Garrett Hardin. This disclaimer/preface finished, on with the show: I advocate that we all start a genocide against Christians. "Why would I want to do that?" you ask. Well, to give them a taste of their own medicine. "Kill the fags" is exactly the message that main stream Xtianity is putting forth to society. They justify their bigotry by saying it is supported by a divine, all-powerful being. They tell lies that homosexuality is a disorder/disease that can be cured by reparative therapy. Those two things put together create an environment that encourages violence against gays. By statement #2, all homosexuals are voluntarily gay, and since statement #1 says that the "supreme being" doesn't like gays, and take into account that a "good Christian" tries to spread the will of god - the logical conclusion is that the Xtian in question should try to get rid of gays. By any means necessary. It also works the same way with abortion doctors. Randall Terry, the founder of the pro-life, anti-choice group Operation Rescue had this to say: "I want you to just let a wave of yntolerance wash over you. I want you to let a wave of hatred wash over you. Yes, hate is good...Our goal is a Christian nation. We have a biblical duty, we are called by God, to conquer this country. We don't want equal time. We don't want pluralism." (The News-Sentinel, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 8-16-93) Pat Robertson, and other conservative Christian leaders, have indeed weakly condemned violence against doctors who provide abortions. But without fail that have included in their statements something along the lines of "well, this wouldn't be a problem if they weren't providing abortions." Thus, while weakly condemning it, they also give the message that the doctors got what was coming to them. This, I believe, is not much better than an out-and-out endorsement of the killing. I urge people who disagree with this quasi-terrorist agenda to boycott churches. Do not go. Do not show any support for this system. There is no reason why your god can't hear your prayers from home. As long as people continue to attend these temples of bigotry, the leaders will think they have support for their psuedo-terrorist activities. Even if your particular church doesn't support killing of abortion doctors and homosexuals, that church is part of a larger organization that does. Any money that you donate will be put to these murderous crimes, in some way or another. Looking back at what I have written, I seem to have gotten away from my original statement of "kill the Christians." (Read the preface/disclaimer, please.) But I do support the absolute boycott of Christianity. I do not know of a single sect (individual churches are a different story) that condones homosexuality or abortion. As long as they teach bigotry, I will be adamantly opposed to Christian teachings, and urge that others follow suit. You'd be surprized to know that there are some who take very liberal views on homosexuality, "being saved" etc. Advocating the deaths of an entire group of people who share a common thread is a very dangerous thing, when you don't even consider that there are many who may deviate from, if they even believe in, that which eminates from the mouths of some. Or to put it in very simple terms, there is a broad spectrum of beliefs in Christianity. To condemn all Christians for the beliefs of a few is not only asinine, it's just plain ignorant. That would be roughly the equivalent of me saying something along the lines that, because Adolf Hitler killed some 6 million Jews, that because he, being German advocated and commanded such an evil deed, that all German people shoud forfeit their lives. Not very fair is it? Especially when you consider that there were many, many non-Jewish Germans that wished nothing to do with the Nazis, and were in every possible way, the anti-thesis of Hitler. You may believe in God, an almighty being, or some form of "higher intelligence" that oversees this Universe of ours, or you may believe in nothing at all, as in "ashes to ashes, dust to dust." But whatever you believe, there is no one living now on this Earth, with the power to condemn anyone to a hereafter of endless torture and suffering. What does await us in the hereafter? Everyone has their own ideas and interpretations. I know what I believe in, and what I don't believe in. I do believe that I have enough to deal with in my own life. I don't believe that it is my responsibility nor my duty to advise others about how to live theirs. MaddMaxx: I totally agree with you. Advocating the killing of any group just because they're that group is plain and simply wrong. I explained that I actually did not believe with that in my preface/disclaimer. I also realize that not all Xtians are like this. Some do have an enlightened view of important issues like homosexuality, and a smaller number yet on abortion. However, you do get zealots out there like Pat Robertson and Randall Terry and Gary Bauer who are very vocal in their bigotry. And when they are, we hear no general outcry from the rest of mainstream Xtianity. The bigotted zealots say they speak the true word of God. I certainly don't believe them, and I suspect that you don't either. But when mainstream Xtianity doesn't speak up against them, mX is letting the bigots speak for them. So, until I hear an uproar from more than just a few isolated voices within Xtianity, I'm going to hold that all of Xtianity should be held responsible. Bottom line: if someone says they speak for you, and you don't contradict them, then they do speak for you. Looking back on all this, I realize I should have phrased my argument a little better, and left out the whole genocide thing, since almost everyone didn't take into account my preface/disclaimer. And I go to a church that in no way advocates any of the things you are talking about. I go to a Vineyard church. Although it doesn't advocate homosexuality, it welcomes homosexuals, and although it doesn't advocate abortion, it welcomes anyone who has had one. There are all different ethnic groups at my church and in fact, we have get-togethers with an African-American church down the street. That doesn't sound too bigotrous to me. The truth is, even if you bombed all the Christian churches in America and the world, the Christian church would still be blazing stronger than ever.
